Aand, there it is.. The trauma. The tears were really flowing for Kyoko. It's clearly just a glimpse at how hard her childhood was, but still, you can feel the pain and stress she's had all this time, having to fend for herself most of her life with barely any emotional support from the two people that were supposed to be there for her. My older sisters and I know how that feels. We only had each other, most of the time. Our parents were far too absorbed in their own things, and overwhelmed by three girls and a boy so close in age. Though we might have had it worse with an abusive dad, as well... Still don't know what kind of bad blood is between Kyosuke Hori and his daughter (pretty sure he was namedropped during an earlier chapter?). But childhood trauma isn't a competition, regardless. Trauma is trauma.

She, thankfully, has Izumi, now, to be there for when she needs it, and say what needs to be said.

How come out of all the chapter, THIS ONE doesn’t have any comments? It’s a pretty big one

It likely came out while the comment function was still unavailabe here on MD.
Might also be because there are two English scanlations for this chapter (and the two before it), and this version is a much more recent upload. If you look at the full chapter list, you can see the uploads for these chapters that are around 7 years old have more comments than these ones that are only around 3 years old (as of posting this reply).

Ah, yes, childhood trauma... Dad is away 24/7 and mom has to work while away most of the day...

Have to "grow up" and take responsibility for everything, plus taking care of Souta being a "second mom", that's a second face Hori has.

Hopefully Hori mom realize how much she had to sacrifice, it's hard to grow up skipping basic child needs and acting as an adult from the younger age.

No.
Guy basically confessed to you, gonna keep him around when he licks the ice ream through the glass?
Eventually even if the feeling is strong, one can only have patience for a while...

A couple of chapters ago, the translation notes at the end made fun of people who use metric, and it was funny because that's the other way around from what it should be. But here, they make fun of Fahrenheit, which is the normal thing to do. It's odd that they didn't stick to their guns and make it into a running gag.

That being said, even though Celcius makes more mathematical sense than Fahrenheit, I still prefer the latter because it makes more human sense. The difference between one Fahrenheit degree one way or another is noticable in the air temperature, so it's more useful to use a scale that allows for smaller gaps without having to use inconvenient decimals.
