Per the web novel at least, there’s still no casualties among the main casts. Japan’s witches are high ranked, but more importantly it’s Silver Lotus. She is cautious, and unlike other witches who do battles, her ability is full scale war. The incubus treats her like a threat to existence, Queen of an unstoppable swarm of abomination who are massacring them in their own homeworld.

There are difficult opponents, but when entering the incubus world chapters, you can imagine Muv-Luv situation where the incubus are human while the insect swarm are the Beta. The situation is that bad for them.
