ah shit man, hopefully it's some sort of bait and switch or something cause it didn't really look like that type of story(did you look through any of the previous chapters by chance? anything that pointed to this happening or just straight out of nothing

quickly went over it for you, I am missing some context from chapters before as I am not up to date mind you but anyways

I think I know why you are asking and the first bit seems not important so gonna skip that almost completely, only thing of importance in their talk seems to be the stuff Shibuya got from the summer comiket(?) she went to with another person (missing context, think she went with that so called "アイス/Ice-chan"?).
Pages 16+, the hot guy(?) then enters and she calls out "Mahiro?!" (gender neutral name) and MC instantly spirals and asks himself what their relationship is.
P17 has him think that this person is who she went with and then he remembers that she told him that she stayed overnight with the person she went to the summer comic fair with and that it might possibly be this guy(?).
The chapter ends with him straight up asking what her connection to that hot guy is and she answers that he is her "karepi", cutesy way to say boyfriend.

As to why I am typing "guy(?)", the second to last page has MC being visibly shook and there are 2 panels of Shibuya realizing and kinda pausing and stalling before calling that person her boyfriend. Might just be to fuck with MC, might not.

tl;dr yes, it might just be what it looks like with what she said end of ch 2 but some panels make me think not. Can't do anything but wait and see, I for one am a bit bummed out now, lmao. Dunno where this came from and some chapters before might have the answer but cba looking for it after this one.
And if it is just fuckery, fuck her for doing annoying shit tests

I just now suuuper shallowly skimmed through the other chaps since another comment mentioned this series having no romance tag and I honestly think that this is 99% bait and switch. You're most probably good to go.
For me personally, she would be ruined but whatever. Shit tests and jokes on feelings of others are cringe.

Only ch 2 has anything remotely close to indicating it being true. The rest is

I actually find the missing romance tag weird after what I saw and if she was dating, it would go into (emotional-)cheating territory. Dunno if the author would go that far with the ongoing NTR-shirt joke you mentioned.
