And specifically, he feels uncomfortable around them because they're all so much more amazing than he is (making him feel even worse about himself,) and he's really conscious of just how much he can't help but seem to bring the mood down. The more he withdraws, the more visibly worried they become, and the more they try to slow down and reach out to him, the worse he feels about holding them back, until by the time the story starts, he seems to socially be doing some kind of "if I just go limp and pee myself and play dead, maybe they'll leave me behind and move on with their lives." It's a problem that basically demands to be run away from because he thinks the problem with his family is himself.Tbf, he never said there's anything wrong with the family, just that he feels uncomfortable with them. That's his own issue that he needs to work through, but I think that's valid.
It's some kind of imposter syndrome.I'm struggling to sympathize with MC. I can sympathize with his trauma over his dad but the whole thing with his family just feels like him acting like a brat.
Like, here you have the heroine with an actually shitty family that despises her and then MC and his family are literally this:

I can only read furry and it will be furry because is freaking funny that wayI know that her shirt says "Funny" but it's funnier to me to think that she's running around with one that says "Furry" instead.
Actually... He don't think his family is shit.Boy with a good family who thinks it's shit meets girl with an actual shit family
Brain chemicals are a hell of a drug like that. You can know something all you want, the juices our brains whip up don't give a fuuck lolIt's some kind of imposter syndrome.
THe things is... Human emotions don't always make sense
Wait, what? That doesn’t even make sense. I can’t tell if the author just overlooked the glaring flaw in logic, or if it’s intentional. She literally doesn't have a choice. She has to use her mother's money because her mother forbids her from having a part-time job.Even though I complain about it, the money I use to hang out with you, Narumi, still comes from my mom's allowance. It's kind of lame, huh?
I can see the logic, it’s a case of “I know I SHOULDNT feel bad about this, but I still do because social norms don’t care about circumstances”. Like yeah logically she has no choice, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t feel lesser anyway. There’s that feeling of “I shouldn’t even take her money!” Or “I should just get a job in secret” but that’s not how the world really works.

It's something like saying: "I hate being locked up in this prison. But even though I complain about it, I still meet you during the visiting hours. It's kind of lame, huh?"
And despite Japan being almost a country with very intensive police presence, no authorities will be involved except for dramaThe lil sis will probably help out since she's been trying to improve the family dynamic with him.
His parents are also the caring type so chances are they will take her in as soon aa they learn of her situation
My money's on her being the older sister she's always compared to. The "Perfect at sports and academics unreachable beauty" trope is in this manga for a reason, and it's (thankfully) not for self insertion wish fulfilment. After all, main girl is pretty much a perfect girl and a beauty herselfOh, so Shiori is Kohaku's friend? Surely, it's not going to be the classic possessive, self-righteous female friend who thinks that the male lead is at fault solely for existing, right? Right?
Seems like he had an emotionally abusive father and has an inferiority complex with his step-sister. As for the rest of his family, he clearly feels he has no place there after his mother got remarried, which is not uncommon in mixed families.I'm struggling to sympathize with MC. I can sympathize with his trauma over his dad but the whole thing with his family just feels like him acting like a brat.

No. That absolutely says "Furry". Lowercase N begins its curve from the bottom. Lowercase R shoots out closer to the top.I know that her shirt says "Funny" but it's funnier to me to think that she's running around with one that says "Furry" instead.
Wait, is the order got switched from the novel? Wasn't it supposed to be him running away from his family first before this happened?
