But seriously, this is a great example of why sometimes it is best for them not to officially be together until the end. Slice-of-life dating after the confession often comes across as so boring but at the stage they are at now, it is so full of romance.

Even though this chapter was sweet it's a bit depressing to know that firefly populations are declining worldwide

Growing up, I knew of many places where one could see quite spectacular displays, esp near streams and wetland areas at the right time of year. Nowadays, the "displays" are just a few individuals if any at all.

I personally equate this to seeing a dark sky just brimming with stars on a moonless evening. Nowadays, the closest most of us will ever get to this feeling is from anime and coffee table books.
