You’re pretty close yeah, I look a LOT like him (we often had arguments about which one of us it was on old photos), and I was bullied like he was when HE was a kid, so he was seeing all the weaknesses he hated in himself in me.
And don’t worry, I gave him chances once I was an adult, but yeah, I haven’t seen/talked to him in 3 years, and last time it was because my partner wanted to at least meet him on Xmas… and agreed with me that once was enough.
