Aren't the punishments higher in japan?Kidnapping in the Second Degree (NY Penal Law § 135.20) -> Class B felony, 5 to 25 years in prison
Kidnapping in the First Degree (NY Penal Law § 135.25) -> Class A-I felony, 20 years to life or even life without parole
First degree would involve the victim being restrained for more than 12 hours with intent to commit certain crimes, or if the victim dies. Also if ransom is involved, it will also be escalated from second degree kidnapping
Other charges are likely involved in this specific case as well, which may stack onto the severity
At a cursory glance it looks like they're significantly lower but idk seems like it'd fall under Article 224 / Article 225, which is 3 months to 7 years and 1 to 10 years respectively, but that's only if you don't get sent to juvie which has rebated punishment; also if you release the victim the punishment is to be lessened, which I'm guessing is what we're gonna see in this manga (Article 228-2)Aren't the punishments higher in japan?

Thank you both for reading!!!Thank you for the new chapter today!
I had to go back and check, and when I did, I noticed they didn't finish the hands a couple other pages too.ROFL! The mangaka forgot to finish the hands on page 9!
Relatable.I had to go back and check, and when I did, I noticed they didn't finish the hands a couple other pages too.
Also, it seems like they generally avoid drawing hands completely by either hiding them in pockets, behind something, or just out of frame.
I mean do you really expect them to be smart about this or have any type of honor? They were discussing about how to take her out because she's weakened due to a cold, this seems to make sense for idiots like themWhat a ridiculous idea. I can't tell if this is bad writing, or if every single one of them is supposed to be mentally challenged.
It's not like it's an actual gang fight where they will kill Karin if they succeed, so even if they succeeded, she'll just fuck them up right after coming back to school healthy. It's all utterly pointless.
The kidnapping would be the least of their worries if any of them are breaking the gun and sword laws, and they probably are.At a cursory glance it looks like they're significantly lower but idk seems like it'd fall under Article 224 / Article 225, which is 3 months to 7 years and 1 to 10 years respectively, but that's only if you don't get sent to juvie which has rebated punishment; also if you release the victim the punishment is to be lessened, which I'm guessing is what we're gonna see in this manga (Article 228-2)
I suppose the pockets thing makes sense since they're delinquents.I had to go back and check, and when I did, I noticed they didn't finish the hands a couple other pages too.
Also, it seems like they generally avoid drawing hands completely by either hiding them in pockets, behind something, or just out of frame.
