At a cursory glance it looks like they're significantly lower but idk seems like it'd fall under Article 224 / Article 225, which is 3 months to 7 years and 1 to 10 years respectively, but that's only if you don't get sent to juvie which has rebated punishment; also if you release the victim the punishment is to be lessened, which I'm guessing is what we're gonna see in this manga (Article 228-2)

I had to go back and check, and when I did, I noticed they didn't finish the hands a couple other pages too.
Also, it seems like they generally avoid drawing hands completely by either hiding them in pockets, behind something, or just out of frame.
