After a 6-year long hiatus, today marks my return to my old regular martial arts regimen.
Safe to say, I’m neither as strong nor as flexible as I used to be, got a bit of a belly, shrinking muscle,
Even though I still hike regularly, I can really feel how much my stamina has dropped.

So I am fully expecting a world of muscle soreness tomorrow morning

Are you always changing up your workouts? I do an upper/lower split, and I basically do the same exercises, lol

Yup, I work out based on how much time I have and what's available in that location. Because a lot of time, that's all you have, so do your best to be responsible with what you have because it's your decision at the end of the choice.

@Bireus You got any recommendations for cardio exercise for someone with a history of high blood pressure?
What's your current level of activity? You should aim for 150 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic activity per week (such as 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week). Some options are brisk walking, cycling, and swimming

Of course, be sure to talk to your doctor if you have any underlying health issues

As mentioned somewhere on this thread, basic farm busy work mostly. But thats only for at most an hour, or less depending on the day.

TLDR; shoveling shit, feeding the animals, watering the plants, and once a season harvesting the crops.

You're healthier than most. But as stated

Also burpees, high knees, mountain climbers, squat jumps, jumping lunges, bear crawls, depending on available equipment.

Well, I don't have any equipment for exercise, but what I do have is a very steep road on my neighborhood, could try taking walks down and back up there every day. In the areas that there are no dogs of course, since I have a phobia of dogs (dumb I know).

Then hopefully the doctor will stop giving me the stink eye every time I go for my check ups.

The good news is that high blood pressure is primarily treated with exercise and diet (and not smoking, lol)

It seems you already have some level of activity. If I were you, I would try to go for a walk every day. It's good for your body and mind. In my experience, once walking becomes too easy, you'll want to run

I sort of wanted to try learning to horse ride too, since apparently that is very taxing. But I'm kind of afraid of our horsie. I feed that thing as if she was a bull in a matador ring.
