😭😭😭😭😭
Everytime a story end, I m not supposed to get emotional but I find myself why it happened .
When I saw hobin with gae haul my heart skipped a beat but then it was fine I knew he chose bomi ofc , he worried me a bit but that ok
Giving this story 9/10
Had a potential getting 10 but at last part they skipped many years without telling what happened with the new tube channel , or if they became the best newtube channel out here , what happened to hobin company, how much money they made , how hobin survived and all that .
For the romance part I would give this story a 7/10 as u know bomi didn't strike me a women who would greater thing like other characters there for her man.

Big read for a comment, but hey that's what the comment section is for is it not?

I finished it for the sake of finishing it, but the writing in this one was....lackluster compared to the other PTJ-verse stories. I think it tried so hard to be rooted in both realism, with the fighting and whatnot, along with the thrilling action of fighting crime. It started good, since it was student on student fighting. But once it got to tackling something like Lee Jinho, the disparity made it hard to read. Like yes there's corruption, but an enemy like Lee Jinho would do better against a rookie cop still righteous and uncorrupted, like the ally we see Hobin have.

Mind you, I'm reading Lookism and Manager Kim too, but those stories they're fighting in the same league for the most part. Or beating down the pyramid. The entire time I read, it was just like. "Why the fuck is it high school kids directly vs literal murderers and psychopaths." In Lookism fighting the bigger picture makes sense because it's a whole ass adult, with young adults/teenagers working under him to do his dirty work, and the protagonist teens are fighting those guys with fists for the most part. Plus it already starts off fantasy considering Lookism Protag has two bodies. So you got more of a suspended belief happening.

In Manager Kim it's an adult protag with a hardened life. So whatever he does it's like cool. Fuck yeah dude. And ofc suspended belief.

Of course we could get into the nitty gritty and defend and argue, but this is just my overall take on all 3 in comparison to each other since they're all connected. For those that don't know what I'm talking about: Taehoon is here in HtF. His dad is a key figure in Manager Kim. And Manager Kim is a character in Lookism.

Lookism characters also appear in Questism, another PTJ universe story. Not related to my whole rant under the spoiler tag but just a fun fact for those that don't know about it.

The final stand off between Hobin and Jinho was... wow. I know it could be brushed off as Jinho's bad aim, but it felt like it was being painted as Hobin dodging bullets in real time.

Plus the ending with Hobin saying he never saw Gaeul as a woman feels like a blatant lie considering how he was early on, especially the sleepover. The other stuff he did in those flashbacks is yes, good friend shit. But damn. Y'all really added a compilation of Gaeul looking cute in reference to Hobin's memory and had him say that to her face. I can understand why he said that, to be absolute about it and not give her hope to lead her on, but to me it reads as the author not caring enough to approach the scene writing with more tact.

Of course Bomi is end game, I'm not blind to that, but she never felt as important to the story as the other girls. She feels like an object and a trophy, the way she moved the plot as a love interest and a point of interest for red head dude vs Hobin. After that she's just back to attending a different school or something. Yes Gaeul is connected to Samdak, but she also had her own fight scene. Gyeoul is a wild child, but she also plays the role as the rogue of the operation, y'know? Rumi also played the role of pretty girl, but she had more of a presence and overall imo. Basically the girls that were in the school photo were more interesting than Bomi to me.

Not that I read these particular manhwas because they know how to write women, they don't, but it's rough. If you want a read that has great writing for their female characters you have to hit up the tried and true Fullmetal Alchemist.

Rumi and Wangguk are cute. Very happy we got to see their wedding.

Eunwoo is also out of place imo. Dude just came to act as a reflection of first year Hobin to kick him back into action. And he gets a reintroduction at the wedding cause he's part of the company. I get it. It's logical that he'd be a part of the company and the reunion. But damn the dude doesn't feel right as such a late addition.

ALSO HOBIN JUST COMING BACK AFTER SO LONG LIKE ITS NOTHING??? WHAT THE FUCK???? GIVE SOME SORT OF ANSWER TO THAT!!! BRO THEY WERE MOURNING YOU. They ASKED him and he gave a non-answer and it went to Jinho's death. Bro????

This final chapter should be a fucking epilogue. Not a final chapter.

This mannhwa was good. I enjoyed it. the first half was great and the second half was not so great. but both are still enjoyable. I wish the second half stayed the same formula where its so hype and we learn all these different moves and how to street fight but in the second half thats all gone now since Hobin has transformed himself too early to the point. I wish they dragged on the first half of this manhwa rather than the second half. or it should have already ended at the first half with Jinho.

I still have so many pet peeves like how Gun users are portrayed as stupid here, the thing with Gaeul with the pretend marriage arc and author making her repeat her confessions again making her suffer more, how Eunu became nonexistent and useless in the last parts of the manhwa, Seongjun being some kind of brother to Hobin which to this day I dont understand at all, Snapper not really going through any extra character development on his own (wish he had already made moves persistently to Gaeul) and lotsa things. but all in all, it was a great ride. Im looking into Lookism next.

  • Gaeul not necessarily to confess again. Isn’t it already clear af that Hoobin only considers her as a friend? Bomi likes Hoobin, Hoobin likes Bomi. End.
  • Too bad Jiksae doesn’t have a significant character development while he’s with Hoobin since the beginning.
  • I expected the backstory when Taehoon was an MMA fighter and a story of rematch between Taehoon vs. Munseong 😔
  • The story about the gangster etc. (Seong Joon got a few chapters of himself about his backstory) took too many.

But, of all, a satisfying ending and a great manhwa I’ve ever read so far.

Finished At 08:34 AM The 17/07/2024

is it me or he lied to her ? I am certain when someone makes you skip a beat, it is considered that he sees her as a woman ? or am I insane ? that motherfucker ... I am mad bruh... he never deserved her anyway :') (no hard feeling Bomi)
also, why the fuck did the creator "joke" about this? he wanted to pull sth ? legit i didnt waver a bit and knew it wasnt gonna change, the only time it started is when I recognized it. bruh

Now for Yokeman's review (feels odd doing it with the phone and with 12% battery)

starting with the plot, I am honestly impressed how original the author is, I think what I loved the most about this story how original the author is for the fighting techniques! and I legit learned a lot! Mayne if I get into a fight I will remember this hopefully! I missed delinquents works... and this one was a wholesome ride! there sometimes where it didnt make sense (not the fight but plot) but it is the Korean writing (and its wrong)

Next the characters, they are the freaking best, everyone is loveable and hateable! by that, If i could, i would kill Jinho myself, but as a written character, he is very well done!
Taehoom by far is my favorite character, guy is a beast and wild as I like them! Gaeul is my favorite female along the pink haired one! (pink haired is second) I just live the characters af! chicken man being a legend and an amazing, outstanding character. Hobin as a MC delivered well! I enjoyed it! I have no critics for the characters!

It feels a first, but usually I talk about the opening and ending xD but this is a manhwa lmao force of habit haha

overall, this work slap, alot of HYPE and it delivers! I would give it a 7.5/10! probably B tier! could be A ? maybe but A minus ...
Thank you for reading! Taehoon up!!! Taehoon up!!! Gaeul ma girl ❤

Man this was great. There are a few problems I had (which I will mention below) but I still enjoyed this series a lot. I'm glad that I found this manhua. Also am I the only one who's heart stopped when they saw Gauel first at the wedding lmao.

Now that I said I enjoyed it, it's time to rant

First of all, I loved this series mostly for it's realism and how just... real it is. When the first time Gauel's dad faced off against a gun and revealed that he won, I was so frickin hyped. I did some research and yeah it's pretty dang hard to dodge bullets. You need an extremely high reaction time and really fast dodge speed. I excused this because "oh he's the god of fighting and the whole time he was watching the trigger so he could just notice when he moves his finger and that gives him more time to dodge and react". I was totally fine with this because yeah it's slightly unrealistic but it was hype as frick.
Then Taehoong's dad comes in. He starts dodging bullets too. I was like oh yeah he must be equivalent to the god of fighting but like... what? Wasn't the god of fighting supposed to be like the most powerful and dodging bullets was like his own thing? I was kind of weirded out here but I ignored it and continued on.
At the end we all know that Lee Jin-ho had shitty aim for the plot so whatever there's that too.

Second, the series got a little boring after Eun-woo was introduced. The series was still enjoyable just a bit of a chore to read. His plot-relevance was horrible and felt forced. The one dumb reason he got added in was because "oh my daddy died to lee jin-ho"
Speaking of lee jin-ho, WHY THE FUCK DID THEY STOP HO BIN FROM KILLING HIM. The one singular fucking reason that this series was extended another 100 chapters, was because Lee Jin-ho was given the grace of being left alive.

Speaking of being left alive, THERE WERE SO MANY TIMES WHERE CHARACTERS COULD HAVE JUST STRAIGHT UP KILLED OTHER CHARACTERS BUT DIDN'T BECAUSE THE SERIES HAD TO LAST LONGER OR SOME CRAP LIKE THAT.

I'm tired it's 3AM so let's finish. The series should have ended with Ho-bin honing his skills to the max after unlocking the final part and then finally chicken man's identity being revealed and Ho-bin having to fight him. That would have been cool. Maybe not exactly like that but something similar.

edit: also what the fuck was ho-bin doing while he was gone after the ship blew up. that was stupid af
edit 2: Since this series got a little un-realistic towards the end,Ho-bin should've gotten a harem ending where he gets both bomi and gauel. To make it even better Jik-sae fixes hyeoung
