I'm done. I've been dreading that something like this would happen. It's contrived enough that she hasn't told Izek anything after all this time, plus the events of the monastery and afterwards that were contrived and suspicious, but were reacted to unreasonably. I get that it's trauma and it's difficult to come clean, but this is not something I want to read. The level of suspense and pacing is crushing. It was too much for the writer to string these brutally tense arcs together with barely a scene to ease the tension a bit. From the beginning this has been a grueling read, but it was unique enough that I wanted to see how it played out. I thoroughly regret that. It's one thing for something to be written badly, at most that would make me slightly frustrated, but I hated reading this. It's just misery.
From this point, I don't see things brightening up at all any time soon. At best, Izek will kill her brother in short order, but the writer could very well draw it out if the mc tries to cover for her brother or hold back her trauma, which would be even more devastating. There will be the consequences for Izek probably killing her brother that will have an arc dedicated it to it, Freya will use this opportunity to try to gain leverage, and there's still the rest of her family to deal with. Its just gonna get even more miserable, so I wish yall luck.
