i wish they didn't show that guy eating the 1 piece of hair otherwise this would be easier to swallow and move on with the empty plot . otherwise how would the human body even naturally interact with the environment in this world, does his dead skin suddenly make like a jungle when he is walking in a plane. And how would anyone tell the difference between a human and a normal hair and wouldn't he just drops of the stuff randomly just by living and say some insect or animal eats it and suddenly you got like mothra or like jormungardr

That doesn't stop them from seeking out his 'relics' or maybe having someone try and seduce him to get his babies and then raise them, in order to get ahead of the others.
And the best time to negotiate is when you're atleast as strong as the other guy if not stronger. If you're weaker, they can just ignore you.

His hair or whatever else could power anyone from this world up and all. But as we saw, someone powered up by a human artifact was brushed off like a non issue by him lightly tapping them because he thought they were an actor. She doesn't seem dumb enough to actually try anything like set up a future betrayal given everything she knows about humans and what she just saw. Besides, she was totally Indiana Jonesing out there. That hair belonged in a museum, not someone's stomach. Someone with her level of interest in human artifacts isn't going to give up the chance to observe an actual human in the flesh.
