Halkenburg is walking a tight schedule with an undefined victory condition, at least as far as I understand.

His intention is to kill Benjamin, I can't see it being anything else... well, that isn't quite right, but the other options seem out of place(?).

I won't try to decipher his intentions and train of thought too much, Togashi gives hints and clues but never the full picture until necessary.

But the essential part is... what happens after his ability effect runs out, and if I understood it right... he is betting on his Nen beast having some sort of fail-safe effect supported on the "restriction and reward" condition that he is the target of soul transfer and the beast target of protection, it will somehow "resurrect" him... a little farfetched, but not impossible, with the right conditions meet, and the fact these beast are high level nen constructs, I can see it happening.

But going back to Tserriednich... Theta, you are too on a tight schedule, pray that his talent isn't so ridiculous as for him to break that barrier quickly.

But make no mistake... this crazy fucker can break it, so make a plan quick, because when he achieves that... he will start experimenting, and whatever he did in the past will look like child's play compared to what he will be able to do.

Was there a mistranslation in that Sumidori-Shikaku panel? When Sumidori commits suicide while in Shikaku's body we later see Sumidori's body wake up and he is asked to give them his own (Sumidori's) service number and affiliation, not Shikaku's, to confirm if he returned to his own body. The panel in this chapter says something else, or maybe it's just worded strangely.

i don't believe it was revealed whether it was Shikaku or Sumidori in Sumidori's body. it might be the case that Shikaku awoke in Sumidori's body and gave his ID and affiliation instead. but Sumidori's mind should've taken priority if he returned to his body... this ability is still not quite clear yet on what happens if one of the bodies involved in the mind swap dies.

This chapter making it more clear to prince halkenburg's ability. Unlike lelouch's ability to switch bodies, it certainly more tricky with limiter that the attacked soul will awoke at initiator's body. I don't know if the soul can swap back to each original's body tho. To be noted on, the swapping is random so it certainly works in halkenburg's favor that he got the chief royal bodyguard's body.

All is well for now but there is pattern that the more clearer the nen beast's ability, the more likely he will die next. For now we still know nothing what 1st prince benjamin, 2nd prince camilla, 4th prince tserriednich, 7th prince luzurus and 14th prince woble nen beast's ability

Yeah. His goal is to kill 1st prince first because 1st prince is the most ambitious one in terms of effort. Seems like halkenburg's personality is not one who can't take his time if he is not comfortable with something. As soon as he know he can't escape the responsibility of this throne war, he is doing it on the go. Unlike 1st prince or any other prince who command killing fully organized, he should be trying to gain information first before making a conflict in nen battle. He is definitely lacking experience

Your point of tser on rampage is interesting. He is having fun with his nen training. It's high chance he will do that after knowing the enjoyment of battle of nen

this chapter is a confirmation of that action. Shikaku's body is dead, halkenburg need to know if the soul come back to sumidori's body or not
