I always gotta wonder why authors need to make villains so shallow. They always assume that when they're fighting someone they know is strong, that they're nothing compared to them at the start of the fight. Like, come on. You have to realize that your opponents aren't going to go all out at the start. Like, the villains are never going all out at the start. What makes them think their opponent wouldn't be holding back too?
