My money is on her wanting to actually be friends with our FMC, but with the way that our FMC is she got offended after a couple of times since she thought everything FMC says is rude and meanspirited. So, she is now a yandere to keep everyone away from FMC because if she can't be friends with her then no one else can.

I think it’s more she’s trying to use her to look better, intentionally dressing her in non-flattering dresses and killing her self esteem so she doesn’t threaten her.
