This manhua feels like a Chinese version of "I Seriously Just Get Reincarnated as My Gag Character" except the protagonist is the mage and her sidekick is the dragon. Even the princess reminds me of the one in the manga, from how quickly she decided to go all in on the MC and bet that just having her around will somehow solve her problems.

Honestly, I sometimes feels sorry for the villains in these types of stories. Some spend decades creating their full proof 'masterplan' only to be foiled by some OP guy who only sided with the enemy because they were the first person they locked eyes with.

Everyone's talking about how much was cut from the novel, but this honestly reads fine. Just going into this story blind has been a decently enjoyable experience. None of the details that have been commented on thus far sound necessary regardless. I especially enjoy how unreserved the MC is with sexual situations. It's a nice change of pace after dozens of Japanese isekai with the most genophobic, effeminate protags imaginable.

In the novel, it’s really different from what you wrote. Violet didn’t just heal him casually, she’s not the type to act without a reason. She asks first, and they agree out of resignation. However, Lilya criticizes her for Violet's actions, even though she had asked her to do it before. Lilya says that Violet is like creating a miracle from "God," when people in her kingdom don’t believe in any gods.

Damn, it's a lot of details left out kinda making the story shallow without them. Still reading tho
