I can't fathom how I managed to enjoy reading this back in the day.

Sure, the mc is badass, that feels good, but the constant trash talking and bullying the weak, and then smirking is a pain in the *ss to read.
Plus, mc can be badass only because he's got the plot written for him, the adversaries are always so pathetic, so it doesn't feel like his strengh is deserved at all most of the time.

Also, all the random hype around technique names and strengh levels that never matter in the face of plot armor are just noise, and they appear all the time! smh...

This is boring trash. That's my conclusion.
