Sure, she's being honest about her feelings and that's great! But that's not really the issue people have with her as a character.

You can be honest with someone without resorting to cruelty or belittlement. While there may be times when it's necessary, if you consistently communicate with people in this way, it shouldn't come as a surprise if they perceive you as being a jerk.
