Ngl, there's a part of me that wants to see an eventual bad-end variant of this manga where she momentarily fumbles her perfect balancing act of tearing him down and propping him up emotionally, winds up pushing too far on the negative side, and ends up losing him somehow (maybe by him having enough, him deciding that she's outright too good for him and would be better off if they broke up, or even with him sinking too deep and just...giving up).
It's actually a desire I encounter a lot with these kinds of characters, or with particularly nasty tsunderes, or other such characters. That need to see the house of cards collapse and see consequences for their cruel behavior.
Like, we know she actually loves him from back in that chapter with the ring (where she takes it out and admires it while she's alone at her home).
