To be fair blunt trauma can kill too. It just isn't as easy as something sharp and metal.

I'm guessing its to keep the kid from hurting himself but tbh if that's a concern he shouldn't be facing live opponents (especially without wearing armor)

I put up with several info dumps for no good reason and now I get a boy in a dungeon with a wooden stick fighting a goblins his dad beaten, and his dad was quick enough to captured all those goblins in seconds but wasn’t quick enough to beat a kid without using his skill, wtf man.
