I also hope so, but this kind of character is easily discarded and forgotten unfortunately.

However, since the MC is much better than in Eminence, I hope the author can strike a nice balance between respect and acknowledgement.

As someone who read both novels of this story and eminence, I'd say Cid is a better written and more developed character but I know how that he can really get on a reader's nerves

Full disclosure, I was also expecting something along the lines of a slow life with the kids, but this is sooo much better.
