Tbh, it can go both way considering his brother can send the queen and her knights while keeping them on a leash and kill them when all these shebang is over.
Considering how this manwha progress, I think it is just imperial forces since goddamn they've killed a LOT of heroes.

I think Ash used their situation with the duchess as a threat. There is no guarantee that the duchess would actually cooperate, especially since she is at war with Ash's family.

Well by how things where going, I would think she would accept, he was actually going to rebuild and existing faction with a popular figurehead so it was going to be a real pain in the ass to the empire and she would had benefited a lot.

He's gonna find some way to get the dragon queen and her knights onboard too, I bet. Exploiting a game logic bug, or some secret game path, to compensate for the dark event bullshit. That's my bet. Especially because he only has the empire's help for the next five battles.

Since the demon king can influence the wave outside of the game normal setting, i dont see why ash cant do the same on his side, black and white choice could be expanded to have something in the middle from choose either side to exploit both side.

It wasnt that bad of a betrayal, he just exagerated his wounds and went there as a spy, but he didnt lie about anything else that wasnt directions for his mission, he wouldnt even be at the southern front if it wasnt because of those orders

She is risking her life to hold off monsters from passing a wall, And the person who she is falling in love with is legit a spy to the people ignoring the request for help. They faked their wound to make everyone believe and trust them more that means they even used her emotions to gain more trust aka was his sacrifice to save her even a real thing or was it planned out for him to be more trusted with information.

That is what is probably going through her head right now.

Not only that but. How can you trust someone on the battlefield when the whole time they were a dagger aimed at your back. Instead of a blade by your side...cause I'm positive they would have ordered godhand to kill ash if the treason was real.

No since the queen will come with an army and the resistance, even if she's here. to capture her you have to fight the army/loyals of the queen

Internal assassination -> civil war -> end of this fortress

She had an army when they invaded and destroyed her country too. Probably a way more impressive and experienced army at that.

No wait, dude had no choice. Remember his people are still being kept hostage. The cultprit is the douche 2nd prince who told Godhand to trick 3rd Prince and his people. The part about his people being held hostage is definitely true. His loyalty is as well. Kinda.
