Hmm. While reading the novel, I imagined his half sister looking...better. Not like she applied too much lip stick and had an allergic reaction to it.

This makes the price assassination even more illogical.
Didn't have enough power to even pass the ceremony to be selected as possible heir to the throne, and largely know as a weakling that would die for his own frail body given enough time.
So why waste effort on killing him when he had no relevance no matter his position?
Feels like forced plot development.
But there are many holes already, like MC simply killing "his" guard commander when it was the individual that most likely knew who ordered for the guards to leave that night.
Is clear that is another royal, but a assassination of a weakling like Zion would only damage the royal family reputation and trust, not even able to defend a prince on the royal grounds.
Only reasons I can find are using the prince body as material, but the MC should know that from the novel, or a test of loyalty on a subordinate of a prince, "risk everything to kill this annoyance and I'll put you under my services".
But it just looks like bad writing to force fight scenes.
