People is saying that Zeon is suspicious, but I don't see much of that here. Not wanting Emiel to accompany them makes sense: he's in full knight uniform and he being with them will only ruin their intention of going incognito. Also, all knights report to the house head, if they get into trouble they will inform them and punishment will be delivered (probably Zeon has been in that situation before). Also what he says about the Estelle-Anne relationship is true, Anne IS a subordinate of the Castiellos, and being too close to them may be seen as a weakness by others, specially by those wanting to take advantage of that. And even then he soothes his opinion when he sees that Estelle wouldn't be willing to put distance between she and Anne.

So... I don't see much as for why he could pass as suspicious. Sure he may be wanting to be close to Estelle, but if he tried something more Carlo wouldn't allow it (probably with a sword and extreme prejudice) and Zeon knows it. If anything Zeon serves here to show how naïve Estelle is and how much she needs to grow.

@gameriuxlt I wouldn't really bother answering to @Siikalahna, I already noticed this person's comments on several other series and it's always complaining about the female lead and insulting the character. I wonder why would anyone continue to read something if they hate the mc's that badly.

On another note that kid has it wrong. It's proved that the best way to gain someone's loyalty is either by treating people well or gaining their respect. The nobles that keep on showing their superiority over their servants are way closer to getting a revolt from within their house than others. That's how you get your servants to be bought by your enemies (because tou treat them bad).

Well at least we now know he won't be the main romantic pairing.
Him looking down on commoners and wanting to treat them differently goes directly against what Estelle does.
And that's good, because fuck him for trying to keep Emiel out of these chapters.

Very obvious flags to those who aren't blind. It's not that Emiel couldn't come. It's that he didn't give them time to talk. Emiel could have simply changed clothes after all, don't you think she could have convinced him? It's not that he tells her to get what she deserved, It's that he wants to isolate her from her friends. The staff and the people around her love her and she loves them, him trying to push her away from them is him trying to get her alone.
I sincerely hope she doesn't take any of his judgemental vision of life to heart and remains pure. Give people what they derserve Estelle, and this guy deserves nothing. He'll most likely end up being beaten to a pulp by her brother if this goes on.

the foreshadowing is definitely hamfisted and im a little “eehhhh” on zeon being so adamant on drawing the line between friend and subordinate, but otherwise i quite like him as a potential LI. maybe that’s just bc I don’t like the baggage emiel comes with? 🤣🤧 his interactions with estelle are friendly and natural and a refresher
