I see. Yeah, it's a growth pain further induced from intense exercise. So it makes sense why he may have had to drop Baseball.

Still, it sounds like he just didn't see sense for 4 years and I doubt his growth spurt was that long. I'm guessing there were other mental/psychological barriers at play there. Sense of shame for giving up (i believe he played baseball to mold himself into sense's ideal man), Lack of self worth over his weakness.

Growth spurt clearly paid off tho lol. How he was swatting away women for years shows his true fortitude.

So he settled by waiting till he was legal to her (and not a second longer, since he visited her the day he became 18).

Yeah true. I guess that's why I get to this point on why this chapter felt like it had less meat. Not just because it had less pages. It was more about MC telling (a piece of) his reason to Sensei that the audience knew. And the audience still knows more afterwards anyway.
