not that you're wrong, but i think abazure is trying to prevent her attitude of prickliness and superiority from becoming crystallized. it's okay if she doesn't get along with her asshole classmates now, but it'll become a problem later in life if she refuses to interact with people because she thinks they're beneath her/they're incapable of truly caring about her. at least that's how i read it

It's a sad thing to say, but I'm in the pretty much the same spot as Abazure-san's. I'm not quite self-destructing myself, or at least not that much. But I am living apathetically. It's getting harder to get engaged and creative for the sake of this world. It's getting harder to sympathize with other people, even when I'm really good in my empathy.

I have a handful of good friends, each with their own life and difficulties. While I'm always grateful for them, the world still feels lonelier on every passing day. It was as if I can feel the shrinking world around me.

It's far from hopeless, yes. But I do need to think more about it later tonight.
