Yeah, all you need to do is bash through an army of undead, kill one of the Furies, kill the Bone Hydra, kill the Minotaur and Theseus, vanquish the Cerberus, and then once you reach the surface, kill Hades himself. If you can do all that, you can walk free from the Underworld.

Not really. If one comes in as a respectful guest and pays Charon his due, Hades is much more likely to be nice. Several heroes went in and came back without issue.
