"How do you know my name?"
"This girl told me trust me bro"
And thus he is let go without any issue

With these super sporadic chapter releases, mangadex is about the only place I can expect to reliably keep me posted.Still in my consideration. My current opinion is to move somewhere else.
i'd like to think he was just bad with social cues and not a snake. he didn't know the dude was a spy, just that his name wasn't a publically known thing. maybe he thought that fmc knowing his name wasn't a dangerous thing for her to know and didn't pick up on the dude's alerted face, for most nobility or people of affluence knowing their name is proof of their prestige and therefore a good thing. i guess the dude saying the whole "are you a spy for the empire" is a pretty hard thing to overlook thoughthe doctor with the stupid hat is a fucking snake, hope he gets his comeuppance eventually
Miss... you do know what a spy does right? Like it told you everything about this guy and that he always changes what he looks like... That should been a big hint not to casually ID him lol
It's more than that though: he's a 'doctor' who wants to use her healing potions to get a job. But why hire him? Just buy the potions from the store.i'd like to think he was just bad with social cues and not a snake.
It could also be, because the mangaka's works aren't that popular, so they have to consider the popularity of their other project(s) and how much time and effort they take to draw in order to buy food and pay rent. It’s been so long. Does the artist just post the chapter whenever he feels like it?
That feel when the warnings come after the spell. She blurted out his name before reading the description. That's why you do not read out loud.
What the hell are you talking about? It's not the fact that he walked up to him and adressed him by name that makes him a snake (that just makes him an idiot that acts in the middle of an important conversation). It's that when he realized he's in big trouble, he immediately used her as a shield, even tough it was his foolishness that caused this.i'd like to think he was just bad with social cues and not a snake. he didn't know the dude was a spy, just that his name wasn't a publically known thing. maybe he thought that fmc knowing his name wasn't a dangerous thing for her to know and didn't pick up on the dude's alerted face, for most nobility or people of affluence knowing their name is proof of their prestige and therefore a good thing. i guess the dude saying the whole "are you a spy for the empire" is a pretty hard thing to overlook though
In a game, you initiate conversation with him repeatedly, and he gives you a different name at every event, eventually he outs himself because you recognize him. She skipped straight to a bad end, by not doing that process, and just calling him out by name. Plus, it's supposed to be the Hero getting to know him, and getting let in on the secret."Try talking to him repeatedly?"
Well damn she just talked to him once (by proxy) and the special event happened right then and there.
Now she (and we) knows there's a bug called 'butterfly effect'.
For the prince, it was very quick so I guess he doesn't have time to think all of that, also he didn't know her very well, she could be spy who can tell the future. I appreciate that even if he thought she was a spy, he still worried about her being tortured, and didn't hate her for tricking him as a spy.i'd like to think he was just bad with social cues and not a snake. he didn't know the dude was a spy, just that his name wasn't a publically known thing. maybe he thought that fmc knowing his name wasn't a dangerous thing for her to know and didn't pick up on the dude's alerted face, for most nobility or people of affluence knowing their name is proof of their prestige and therefore a good thing. i guess the dude saying the whole "are you a spy for the empire" is a pretty hard thing to overlook though
on another topic, personally i've got sus on melioras a little bit. he's well aware that fmc is a "fortune teller" who knows things she shouldn't, even down to finer details like what he had for breakfast (even if it was guesswork). if he were to say "it's unlikely she's a spy, but she does have a knack for fortune telling and may have gleaned bro's name because of it" it might put the onus on him to share his own fortune, which involved embarrassing past behaviour from him that he wouldn't want to divulge. her being a spy doesn't make much sense given the attention she's put on herself by interacting with him and trying to get him to see the error of his ways, not to mention the fact that she initially rejected all his invitations including becoming a personal fortuneteller which would have been an extremely beneficial thing for her if she were a spy. i guess he's more likely to believe his father's opinion than that of an almost stranger ig, even if their relationship is clearly strained
