Well that miasma visual cue is somewhat a literal foreshadowing that she was accumulating something.
Too bad others especially the Grey Tower Head was too busy collecting prestige to even see that the heir is actually building up something strong.

So... ig the exam question doubles as a protective charm for Lesty or something? Maybe even having multiples of it around the school is a way to make it work better?

I really can't wait to see how she'll fix this (probably by brute force if previous incidents are of any indication) then thumb her nose to the Hero's party when they're inevitably late to the party. 😅

It wasn't really foreshadowed except in the last chapter where Raniel mentioned Lesty has real great potential and can be the 5th lord and then they showed us a possible picture of a corrupted Lesty. I haven't read the novel yet (not enough points to unlock chapters atm) but I bet there's more foreshadowing there.
