im guessing Sershow is a member of Perez's faction. why would he want the queen to go into more debt if he wasnt with Perez. maybe he just hates her for some reason and we will find out later but my bets are hes on Perez's side

He's not a member of Perez inner circle, not an ally to Lombardi or even an ally to the empress. He just a member of Sershow family and a neutral to the faction clash. A fitting rival to Tia since he's all for business and monopolies the market for his own gain.

Can I talk about how brilliantly shrewd sir Shershow is? He could just persecute the Angenas for all the money the owe him, but instead he gives them a new loan, which means they are in even more debt, which by the look of things they wont be able to pay. So he asks for a "useless" land as a collateral. I'm pretty sure he already knows that said land is far from useless and that it will cover all of the money he gave the Angenas and then some.

This guy is going to extort coin from every single character in this webcomic and come on top. Full on Magnificent Bastard.

He's a merchant not a politician, he plays market not round table.

Really thought I'd be hating the new Sershaw, but hey, if he's willing to fuck over the Empress as much as the Lombardis, I'm all for it. Tia gets to overcome the adversity that he is, all the while he digs the Empress's grave deeper. Good man.

Well.. no, i think if the king know that loraine and lord avinox is dating, he will support it? Cus he know about 2nd prince and tia have something, so he basically have relationship with lombardi right? And loraine with avinox will strength their relation with neighbor country? Exactlyyyyy ! i find it interesting how the emperor is a very shrewd character. he's only interested in what benefits himself the most, since he is at the top of the hierarchy, but he's very logical about it. I think less interesting stories would make him gullible to convey the self-absorbed nature of a king. it makes it fun to predict what tia might do!

See! This, this is why i don't like this Sershow guy... He is not your enemy, but definitely NOT your ally. Soon He is going to even demand, not negotiate, a piece of the profit from the Chesayu port JUST because it was their land (i kinda forgot the spesific reason he used, but it is definitely a weak cause), he even threatened that they are going to block the traffic to the harbor, practically blocking Lombardi Delivery, Pellet's tourism, AND any other traffic that open up because of said harbour existence, if dad refused to share it.

You can never trust anyone when they tell you "just give me some worthless plot of land", it never goes well. Gold, diamond, mana stone mines are always found in useless land (OK...this story probably isn't as fantastic as that).

I like Sershow and how ambiguous he is. Even if he's not your friend, he's more useful than say Viese who's just creating mess after mess and constantly on Team Angenas. I'm surprised Grandpa hasn't cut him off yet, he's so useless.

Honestly, if he is fighting for the quality of life of the common folk he's a colder seeming person than her, sure, but working towards better goals than she is. Tia's all about herself, her family and her bestie.
