The chapter looks a bit slow, like nothing really happens, but we see how loved Lorraine is, how much is appreciated and cared about outside her direct shit family.
Is a wholesome character of Lorraine having every step knowing how many people want her to be happy no matter what, every happy tear shred is a happy memory in this chapter. Lovely!

Besides that, this was such a lovely chapter. Even though Lorraine is leaving the house in tears again in this timeline, it's from joy and not from sadness. I'm so happy for her.

It's not "hair sniffing", it's a pretend kiss. Like for a formal hand-kiss, but with the hair, a more "intimate" body part, to show more affection without actually making skin contact.
