I doubt "my master" is a correct translation of how Flo would refer to Clerivan. Maybe "my teacher", or in the current situation, "Its master" (ie "of the Pellet company").
I mean ancient timers called the one who taught them master, so no, i don't think the translation is wrong.

In an apprenticeship sense, or in such cases as students learning martial arts, "Master" in the context of a teacher or mentor is also an acceptible term to refer to such a person. In stories like this, apprentices under an accomplished individual or Sages in other fantasy titles can also be referred to as such.

Whatever floats your boat, really. But I don't find anything particularly worrisome about it since this is the established context between Tia and Clerivan.
Exactly. Master is a legitimate term to use here.

The west just can get squeamish about the term because of a historic negative connotation, which brings them to only focus on that use of the term.

That said they have a point in that there is more precise words available.

Master is probably closer to a literal translation from the raw, however a more accurate word would suite the setting for English translation better.
