Since we got a lot of foreshadowing in the last two chapters, I wonder when the maid or some other person tells Mary Jun, that Violette's mother died because of the actions her father took after he took a fancy to her mother.

It's probably because she always see Yulan as a childhood friend, never expecting him to love her as a girl.

@sweet-potato Too good for the prince? I mean Vio is getting better, but she is a recovering obsessed stalker who attempted murder. She is tragic and trying to survive for her own self interest, but can't say she is good.

Good would have been if she took the high road in her first life instead of learning the errors of her ways and trying again in her second life.

The only reason people are sympathetic towards her is because she is the protagonist. There have been antagonist from other manga that have done far less than her past life with worse backstories than her that people show nothing but scorn. I mean, it's Good to be empathetic, but even she realized how much of a shit person she was in her first life.

She wasn't a very bad person in her last life. Her jealousy was out of control, she admits to her wrong doings and knew she was acting terribly. In this she realized that what she felt wasn't love. We like the mc because she repents and changes.
