Wow that was pretty bada** and her husbands reaction was just great!
Without the Novel messing with his head the duke seems to be a understanding guy and im sure that he wouldn't have actually done anything to or towards those lady's, but im glad that Edith stood up for them ALL of them. (this also points out that she does have a bit of a villainess side to her)

Fair that would be the case but the Villainess part is HOW she stood up for herself.
She didn’t just tell them to leave them alone she Threatened them using her pressure and a simple action.
