"Somewhat like a yandere"
Look, I know the mangaka wants his work to stand out, but she's literally just a yandere. And that's fine. Just call her a yandere!
He's obviously using "yandere" to refer to the more stereotypical depiction, where the character is dangerous even to their love interest. This one, however, is what some may call a "protective yandere", which isn't what most people would think of as a yandere.

When does he going to realise that she is worse than a Yandere?

Welcome to chick-fillets-you.
I'll have a classic yandere combo with messy hair and glasses as the side, and the drink large because she's extremely thirsty when she pounces and goes full Unlove.

I really envy manlets
Never again will my head be at chest height, never again will I feel someone resting their breasts on my shoulders
Why live?

Okay, that's possible. But that's not worse, is it...?

Personally I've never made much of that distinction, since in most cases the protective type quickly becomes dangerous anyway if the love is not reciprocated.
