I turn a bit of a blind eye to it since it's not as if people are tripping over themselves to be known as the guys scanlating I Thought She Was a Yandere, but Apparently She's Even Worse.

Still, it's worth it to research the Japanese you're running through a machine and internalize the grammar and vocabulary you learn about in the process. If you don't have a sufficient understanding of Japanese to begin with, it would make the translation process slower, but there's higher chances for a more accurate translation.
