I thought there was potential to reduce redraw work in this.

It's kind of tangential to hentai, and it might've been more appropriate in the scanlations section if it had more subforums than just one for Groups. But anyway, I found this GitHub repo earlier today. (Reddit post.)

It's a program with the original intent to automatically remove "minor to moderate censorship" on colour pages via deep learning. What immediately struck me was that this kind of tech could probably be reapplied to the redrawing aspect of scanlation, reducing the amount of work needed for it greatly - hence why I thought it was a good idea to get the word out as much as possible, in case someone with the right know-how can pitch in to the project/fork off one specifically for redrawing (especially since the current version of the program doesn't really work with black-and-white pictures, it seems).

Interesting deep learning to remove censorship although people are just probs gonna use it for H. Redrawing is famously a pain and if it works perhaps it'll be able to solve the many frills on the dresses of historical/villanous mangas.

0 reply so most likely it doesn't work though otherwise it would've been a buzz.
