Also the church is a way more independent and unhinged group than I thought. Unregistered nun-assassins, aspirations to take out political leaders, attempted blackmail presumably against the government itself as well.
It's also actually such an interesting reveal that the church does not at all mean to oppose the assassins, and rather the leadership they stand for. I guess it does explain why they so often happened to intermingle without becoming outright hostile towards one another immediately.
Also to think that this inpromptu one hour truce and symposium between the two warring factions happened all because Benika is a shipper - that's still incredibly funny
