hang on, they have needles, wire cutters, and a saw (I forget what that type of saw is called, but I know it is usually used with blades that can cut metal) but haven't removed/separated the cuffs yet? I get cuffs are made to be resilient to being picked or cut, but that doesn't mean it's impossible to do so given tools and time, you can at least take a couple minutes to cut the chain before showering, right? unless this whole series is actually an intentional plot by her to awaken desire within him by keeping them together while in unusual but highly intimate/stimulating circumstances? and she's only acting for now so he doesn't realize it was intentional?

@InsaneInsomniac if you want to talk about realism it'd take them maybe 5-10 minutes to go to the local police box, ask them to open it, and after 30 minutes it'd be done. Another route would be to go to a hardware store and spend maybe 18$ on a metal cutting saw, then later find a lockpicker to get rid of the cuffs. There's little to no way civilians would be able to get real heavy duty handcuffs, so saws and/or the classic two wrench method would work easily. Assuming you've read the next chapter this entire thing is totally a 'Please fuck me you dense mofo', or given it's a pixiv series a 'i just wanna draw this please take with a grain of salt'

These things are made of bronze. Looking at how thin they are, they could easily be twisted broken. The pawl in the mechanism could probably survive though(it would hurt to do it). But atleast they're going to be separated.
