Ma already knew that Baphomet had an extremely suspicious origin, something that Baphomet never tried to hide but everyone presumed to be absurd lies. However when the crossdresser confirmed that Baphomet never once lied about his identity, I think Ma realized that Baphomet was potentially his strongest ally

Ma is likely going to test how much Baphomet loves humanity and if he desires to destroy it

He suspected it from the start, but the cross dresser confirmed it.
And i think they are trying to black wash Raven IMO,
MC is still as chaotic neutral as ever.

Terrible twist, really. It's not like he had much of a choice as a monster of the tower, so can he really be faulted for killing people who went there? It's like blaming an animal for killing people who enter its cage to try to kill it. Making them all criminals seems like a contrived way for the writer to control his morality. I think it'd be more compelling if he was a bit more evil and ruthless.
