@SunSun You could be right about the doctor. I got a sense of that as well and she would have plenty of reason since, you know, the "talented" started a war and wiped out 80% of the world's population just ten years ago.
Heat or heat energy is vibration on an atomic scale. At absolute zero there is zero atomic movement. So, temperature manipulation is basically the ability to manipulate anything on an atomic scale.
Electromagnetic radiation is different. When an atom is unstable/radioactive, it will emit a particle (alpha, neutron, beta or gamma) in order to become more stable. An alpha particle consists of two protons and two neutrons, a beta particle is an electron and a gamma particle is what would be considered electromagnetic radiation. Those particles are radiation. There are other particles such as neutrinos and fast versus thermal neutrons.
