I'll give him props for not giving a shit anymore, but yelling at and taunting Death is as bad an idea as ever. She may put him in a paralysed body that has only a couple months more to live, as a form of grounding for misbehaviour.

Or she may put him in a body whose suicide will leave a whole family with debt. Or a body whose suicide would jeopardise some operation. She could make him guilty of killing himself.

Also, I'm not entirely sure we do good things to be recognised for them. Making a family happy should have been good enough. That satisfaction he felt wasn't fake.

death could easily make him reincarnate forever, but it wouldn't be so bad he could just do the same thing over and over so death would be in a constant loop with him even death needs a break sometimes so i can see his thinking

I'm starting to wonder if death will be putting him into the body of his mom after that. With all the stress and how she was looking, she can't be doing too well.

Honestly, Death is looking really...weak? Ineffectual? Up until these last two chapters, she seemed cool, calm, and collected enough to not care about what this lowly human did. Now it looks like she doesn't understand what her "revenge" or "punishment" or whatever is actually doing, AND it's unhinging her. I could accept it if she didn't understand, but it looks like she's not even accomplishing her goal, and she knows it.

did death ever say what happens after 13 deaths? i looked over the first few chapters again and all I got was that he has a chance to live each time but not what happens when he runs out

@tomdc We don't know, but Death did mention he will be eventually summoned to stand before the scales and be judged by "the other guys up there". So I don't he'll get to go back to his original life. In fact, we've never seen Death revert the flow of time in this story, he always reincarnates ahead in the timeline.
