OH S*IT! I hate this "hate me" thing and it was about to go down but wow. What a straightforward dude. Btw I ship them more. He didn't make her angry, didn't tell her something st*pid like "hate me". I mean I won't hate it If they become a couple.

Tbh i like Tsuda more than Sayama but maybe Sayama has some circumstances on why he cant really date Ayukawa so im not really that sure what to choose. But for now Tsuda is more better. He's straightforward, easygoing(Kinda) and Sincere :3 So yeah hope Sayama get's some development later on but for now im still rooting for Tsuda :)

istg can we stop beat around the bush ( is that even right ) already? show us the reason of this childish trope so that we can read it with a neutral mind. i don't care shit about sayama with his confusing behaviours. i like tsuda better but i know very well that he'll never get the chance he deserves cus that childish ayu 'senpai' is so in love with the guy who obviously played with her feelings. it's honestly really childish till this point. if the arts ain't this good then i've prolly dropped it long ago

Why is he being such a douche? Ah well, knowing her she'll just reject him outright.

I like Mr. Second Lead, but I think he's just the kind a guy who likes to take other kids toys to prove he can.

@Aurorastar I feel like he likes her but has a reason that a relationship probably wouldn't be a good idea. When he rejected her and saw her sad he came up with as a way to stop her from being sad because it hurt him to see her like that.
Let's be honest, someone that hates you won't date you so him telling her he would date her if she hates him is most likely him thinking he is going to make her reject him this time. So they aren't together and she isn't heartbroken and sad.

A dumb plan I know but a plan none the less. I hope this isn't too confusing because I kinda don't know how to explain it.

@Cimoore95 Lol. I think we all know that he likes her. Which makes it worse honestly
Leading people on like that, keeping them by your side without being committed is the worst of the worst. Ik there's no point in talking about this seriously since this is a trope in mangas, but a lot of stuff like this is romanticized in mangas. Which makes me so sad and makes me feel like these authors are either detached from these issues or are trying to appeal to a certain demographic.(probably it's the latter)
In any case, if he has an issue, he could've talked to her about it. Or Just be straightforward, i can't date you. Being manipulative like that... no honey. That's scummy.
What he did, would literally traumatize anyone. And ironically would make them instantly hate him lmao. It's the same as rejecting someone, but saying that "Oh no, i didn't reject you. I'm just... leaving you no choice but to give up. LOOOL". Anyone with a brain would understand that. BUUUT, our fmc sadly has none.
It wasn't a chance for her to let go, but a chance for her to hold on to something that can't happen. Which is even more painful+is destroying the chance of her having future relationships.
Moreover, if she was one of those obsessive people, she could've said i hate you now, so date me. Why? coz i wanna get back at you for being pathetic. That would've been embarrassing.
Think about it. His original intention was to let her move on without being heartbroken, but now he's trying to 'keep' her away from Tsuda. Tsuda, a normal, genuine guy. (might be weird sometimes), but honest. Who could make her happy. And he's saying "nooooo you can't just try to get together even tho i blatantly rejected herrr"

Let's admit it. He's just selfishly dumb. Were his intentions were bad? idk. Probably not. But he's an extremely flawed character. Which is sadly romanticized.

Conclusion: Team tsuda forever. If tsuda becomes bad, TEAM SINGLE FOREVER. FRICK IT

(Edit: Sorry for this huge essay. Have fun reading. I'll go bacc to dying now)

Ok right note I kinda want her to be like “I’m over this, goodbye.” Because Sayama is stringing her along and the way he doing it is super manipulative. He rejects her but when she begins to take a slight step away he drags her further in. Tsuda is a good guy but I don’t believe he actually likes her. I really think he is just doing this to get a reaction out of Sayama bye taking away the girl he likes away. So I don’t ship her with either of them. But the FL also has a problem. Her naivety doesn’t make her realize how messed up this is. She isn’t dumb though she just doesn’t fully understand the situation and she’s only 16 or 17 so it’s okay for her (and everyone else to make mistakes) as long as she learns from this. Her friends also try to push her onto another guy without her consent which is kinda messed up in my opinion. I know there are just trying to help her but her major problem and the reason why this development even happened is because she has a fairy tale view of love, one that she kept since she was a young child and I dint think pushing her on another guy will help.
