Women who are magic users are called witches. In this world, there are only witches. A man becoming a witch is an anomaly and as such the hook of the series. In-universe he would be a witch, as that's the only word for magic users. And when translating, it makes sense to call it Ichi the Witch as it puts the interesting hook in the title.
I can only imagine you being mad at this because you suspect some kind of foul play which would need to be spelled out slowly for me. Do you think they didn't call it Ichi the Warlock for an agenda or, and stick with me here, they did it because it fits the series and its internal logic.

Its giving me something similar to the Aes Sedai of the Wheel of Time, where, due to shenanigans Men dont have access to the magic. All Aes Sedai are Women, and if a Male happened to use it, the reaction would be similar to the Witch who attacked him

To repeat myself in the hopes that it sinks in this time: you are arguing a story titled "King Ichi" where the male main character Ichi becomes a king, should be translated as "Queen Ichi" because a lot of characters who are NOT Ichi are queens. Are you able to understand why that's retarded or do I need to explain it more slowly?

Ichi is like the combination of Suzuki Iruma from Iruma-kun (same Writer) and Mikazuki Augus from Iron blooded Orphans with unique spices on top

Also yeah the naming is weird. Madan is more Wizard than Witches which is Majou. But I guess it's somewhat International in writer's will I guess...
