I honestly don't get why people blame the mc at all , yes he avoided her ,but she was the one who badmouthed him before her friends , learned he knew about it and didn't do anything about , instead all the friends and mc solved her problem for her . From my pov , every decision the mc took seems realistic and sensible for a normal person. Hearing people take about you behind your back is horrible experience for anyone , everyone telling him , it's not her intentions is ridiculous , intentions be damned when you openly put down another person especially someone you say you love. If she can't openly defend atleast his character, then what's the point of her being in love at all , she feels so superficial in her love

My thoughts entirely. This reminds me of a reddit story where a woman overheard her husband calling her ugly to his friends to show off or whatever and all he had to say was "I didn't mean it" but that doesn't erase the harm if anything it makes it worse that you value people opinion of you over your partner. Especially when they've struggled with self esteem issues for years.

It's the same shit here. We've seen time and time again that he feels unwanted/unworthy and when he finally started gaining confidence and having faith in their relationship SHE made those irrational fears rational SHE valued her image over his wellbeing SHE couldn't be damned to speak against her friends bad mouthing her crush when people he barely spoke to did.

The whole pride thing is a gross oversimplification and downplay that lwk grinds my gears it's like when an avoidant leads you on and then ghosts you and when you confront them they say some shit like "oh you're mad cause I didn't talk to you" like yea if we REALLY dumb this down you can say that but you know that's disingenuous.

I really hated how they blamed the male mc for this instead of the person who actually fucked up and she's never held accountable, she never tries to explain herself even after she learns why he's avoiding her and like why wouldn't he? Honestly, I thought our previous interaction months ago (don't even remember the manga atp) was water under the bridge. I've come across your comments plenty of times since then, but never reacted to them because I genuinely thought whatever bad blood we had was confined to that one interaction in that particular manga's comment section. So imagine my surprise when, months later, you react negatively to a comment of mine on a completely different manga that had nothing to do with you. I returned the same energy, so I'm not going to act like I'm above the pettiness either, but I genuinely thought we'd both moved on from that interaction (again I honestly don't even remember what manga that was or the full context atp). I don't see the point in carrying this over months later, so hopefully we can just put it behind us and move on. I understand where the mc came from, she didn't stand up for him infront of her friends and badmouthed him behind his back, doesn't matter what she really thought, I personally wouldn't go back to a girl like her, especially considering it will be long distance if I do go back, just not worth it no matter how pretty she is
