Soooo, in order to keep civilians from being hurt, the three of them didn't do shit and just went along with the robbers' demands. Yeah, as if they (especially MC) couldn't have handed them their own asses in a fraction of a second. Oh wait, that's exactly what they're doing. But only AFTER they let a civilian get badly injured. Someone in the store should've said "Thanks and all, but If it's so easy for you guys to deal with these robbers, why didn't you do shit sooner?!" FFS.

wait...does he know he was in there for a billion years or not? I thought his memory was erased? Also what about the time god talking to his mom? we ignoring that? Also lol @ robbers breaking in with swords to steal jewels! They have the ability to take pictures in a newspaper but don't have guns? Come on.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is the son or grandson of Father Time from how his mother knows that old man.

@blablablub They didn't know how strong the robbers were and normally you would think they just want to take the jewels as fast as possible and get out.
Sure they could have easily beaten them right away, but they didn't know the robbers capabilities and they aren't grown ups. One (boss) could have been quite decent. Decent enough hurt civilians after/while getting attacked.
But since the only risk was pretty much 'gone' with the attack on the woman, there is a good chance for more people getting hurt. Since that would have happened with or without them attacking, it was better to just attack.
Also that woman was actually in their hands already so if they had attacked, he could have held the sword on heir throat, which wasn't possible since she was slashed and on the floor, so they threw away the 'meatshield' they had.

@Smokron He knows he was in there for a long time, but he had such poor self esteem when he entered it that being alone with those thoughts of self-doubt multiplied exponentially so it takes a long time to get past the trauma of thinking he's worthless.

The setting is a modern-day alternative universe, so there is modern technology (like the refrigerator you see in the first page), but they use swords instead of guns because of the "soul dress" abilities they have. There's an airplane later in the story.

His mom knows the time-hermit but we don't know why yet.

@bakauguu Nah man, you don't need to defend this. They announced themselves by breaking in through a freaking window. They functionally brought a bunch of twigs to a gun fight. The risk wasn't gone with the attack on the woman unless every other robber had stopped holding a sword on anyone else. In an IRL hostage situation you'd have a point, but this is like watching superman sit and scratch himself while a bullet slowly bores it way into someone's shoulder before deciding that he needs to intervene.

@bgdanea It's from a manga called Tono no Kanri o Shite Miyou. Not sure which volume it is from though, or if it's from an extra, in which case, you gotta buy the volume.

What the fuck?. A ceiling fan and those robbers' attire... this felt like it was actually thought and drawn as something that would happen nowadays and at the last minute the author/artist remembered this is a fantasy setting.

... is no one go to say anything about how this manga is basically stealing the plot from the Chivalry of a Failed Knight??? The duel, the promise, and now this robbery scene... is this a remake or are these just overused cliché plots?
