she means that back in the day, fan were much less concerned about how idols are treated by the companies, so mistreatments are less noticed and usually grossed over. Nowadays, fan care much more about how their idol live (sometimes too much) so they notice mistreatments more and may overreact at times.

at least try to read some of the comments before immediately jumping to conclusion, the author already hinted that the composer is a man, I'm quoting @Soneca here: "If you pay attention at the start, you can see the author actually drew Ebichiri-sensei adam's apple right on the first two pages they appear."

Very strange to have the characters be like "well she could be a trans woman!!" And then still default to the trope anyways. Like cool you acknowledged that, but you still did the thing thats been rightly criticized ad nauseam by trans women, and not have any kind of transness there, like very clearly the character is doing a bit more than just clothes /aesthetics and youre not even gonna be like "theyre nonbinary". Feels very lazy.
