After seeing other people's comments about how great this chapter was, I definitely have to say I disagree with some elements of it and I need to rant a bit.

First off, I believe the rankings themselves are fair and accurate given their performance, so good job for the author there.

The elimination was rather predictable. While I couldn't pinpoint the exact person getting dropped early on, it was rather clear that Mei and Mimi's groupmates were the prime targets of elimination. Seeing how Mei's story didn't get a proper end before or during the performance, unlike sick girl or overly imaginative girl, it was down to her and koyuki. Since Koyuki had a divine realization just early on, it would be a waste to drop her right away so there you go.

My biggest problem comes with Aria and her feedback, which I think for some people was outright intrusive and unsound. Let's start with Mei's case... Her last bit of feedback telling Mei to quit is something I would be able to stand behind, only if she did not say "that is my opinion". Aria clearly is trying to soften the blow to Mei here and she fails miserably at doing so. As an authoritative figure (judge and top idol), you are the lighthouse of these girls. What you say has a lot of weight, and "this is just my personal opinion" doesn't do shit in trying to tell them to take your advice with a pinch of salt. Stop being a hypocrite and be aware of your position, if that is the conclusion you came to as a person and a professional, own up to it.

Let's move on to Koyuki. Aria is trying to put some serious emotional burden on Koyuri with the lines of "you are standing on top of the eliminated contestants". As the main judge, Aria was the one who made the decision to invite her to the event. If Koyuki somehow failed to meet your expectations because she had an "attitude problem", let's not try to put all the blame on Koyuki here shall we? Aria had the first 2 rounds to choose the contestants she deems worthy and debutable. If one of these contestants turns out to be a rather mediocre one, Aria is the one who made the pick, so she can't be out here throwing these words. Later on Aria comes on strong with the line "you only survived because the audience helped you out", with the intention to say that she does not deserve to be here no more. This is absolutely absurd since as an idol, it is literally their fking job to appeal to the audience. The audience's opinion should have a decent wright in the decision making, not as a last straw that the unworthy contestant managed to grasp. They moved the audiences heart for a reason, and that is not because they were fooling around.

Rant done.

I can understand Aria's point. Even if it is harsh. But thinking about her feedback there's some truths. In RL those words might be true, even if the judges feedback sounded harsh what's more harsher and hurting might actually be fans words and comments. As an Idol they're expected to act certain way too. Either way this could either go well for Koyuki or might go bad.
