Isn't that a little disingenuous though? We check the GL tag for girls' love. Not for the potential of it.
Not that I started this manga for the girls' love. It didn't have the GL tag back then but the drama was interesting as hell. But to tag this as GL when it doesn't explicitly have GL is just lying about its themes. So unless Ibuki does something about her feelings for Mimi I really feel like this shouldn't have the GL tag. It's just not a GL manga yet.
Personally I wouldn't add the GL tag. But the problem here is mangadex's tag System. It's lacks subtility.
The tag is added for all manga that have an inch of potential romance between girls.
If this was published on Dynasty Scan it wouldn't have the yuri tag. At most, Subtext, at least, Yuri Crush, like most of Idol manga.

While I was reading the comments about the lack of yuri, the GL tag was removed. XD I guess that seals the deal that there's no yuri to be found here. Is it good enough to read even without that potential?

Note: I'm not really big into idols in particular, so if the entire focus is almost purely on idol work/lifestyle it might not fit my tastes too closely. I don't mind idol stuff, but if that's all this offers it might be a dodge for me.

I can't really think of a single thing I would criticize this on. Like it's genuinely such a good read that made me cry little bitch. All of the characters are exceptionally well-written and it's probably one of the first reads where I care about ALL of the characters. Of course I have my favorites, everyone does, but damn is every single person in there so fun to follow around and see what they would do next.

The only thing I would really consider that is "bad", is that the fact that there isn't really anything too emotionally negative. What I mean by this, is that I would've expected more negativity coming from these characters with such harsh backstories, and it would've helped make the highlights shine even brighter. While I did say that I cry a lot, most of it is just some soft tears, and I didn't really feel anything that completely broke me to make me weep and shit and piss myself. Anon for example is dealing with the loss of her mom and the only reason she's there at the age of FOURTEEN!!! How does a 14 year old have that much mental fortitude??? I would've expected her to completely break as a lowlight, and watching her redemption as she moves on to play for other people ad well would've been even more satisfying that way. The bigger the low, the bigger the high.

But obviously the story isn't complete yet so I can't say too much about it. Just fucking read it. It is unbelievable, the quality. Hope this makes it to 20 Vol. like the author intended.
