Actually his greater problem may be if her parents find out (phone not on silent, plugged into a charger with lights on when they walk in on it, some parents ransack their kid's room, she seems to have used her new parent's kitchen for a bento... meaning they may wonder how/why would a 5-6 year old learn to cook and for whom...). Theoretically if they find the phone, turn it into law enforcement to have them go through it, and find it tagged back to him (call/message logs even from apps, gps location from a picture tag, etc). Unless this is one of those stories where he breaks off from her to move on I can't see any kind of happy ending.

I had to reread it to get that to register in my mind. I knew she died 10 years ago (they had a lot of reference to 10 like their anniversary was on Oct 10 or 10-10), it just seemed to me on the first read she was about 5-6 years old, only after rereading it she mentioned that reincarnation could be about a year after death.

@nazarmf that's the thing, it's not like your typical shameless lolicon manga, it's creepier because it's heartwarming. I mean, just the past few years of lolicon stuff has already desensitized a lot of people and this is just another one. If you're aware of it it's fine, but people calling it heartwarming are probably getting reprogrammed.

Oof i get what you mean. Like, i feel like the idea is heartwarming and the characters are actually really nice...
But the story overall seems that it's a bit weird yeah... I don't see this as creepy yet, but I can't see this going for too long and not turn kind creepy and sad too. She can't be with the old family forever.
