The POV of it all got me thinking: what if the author saw someone being bullied and this is how they rationalized doing nothing and getting turned-on from watching their classmates suffer?
That judgement felt unfair until I saw people saying this was the author of that "alien" story, where one of the core premises was: helping other people is (basically) foolish and pointless.
Thinking about it even MORE, this same author also did a one-shot where he turned a "victim" of human trafficking into a sock puppet talking about the benefits slavery, and how much money an unemployed person could make opening their legs as a "slave." (I have no clue what bro thinks a slave is 😳).
So, you were right to question it. There's a strong body of evidence suggesting this author needs either therapy or an exorcism. Every minute he spends making these comics is, at least, a minute he's not terrorizing the streets.
I think this is every major country where people have access to the internet.
Read this book "The Authoritarians" by Bob Altemeyer. Unfortunately, this personality profile probably just EXISTS within a certain minority of humanity, in any population. They have no moral floor and will deny reality when it comes to atrocities their group has committed, evidence or first-hand participation be damned.
